No longer use the USB Port on my Korg PXR 4

Does anyone use the Korg PXR 4 Digitsl Recorder? I've had mine for about 6 months and now the USB port will not function prperly. I have tried to download/upload new drivers for my USB and I've even tried another PC. Has anyone else had this problem?

Have you tried contacting Korg tech support? What's the warranty on those things?

I have the contact info for you:

email: support@korgusa.com. Service centers are listed on www.korgusa.com if it needs to go to one. If you wish to call, the number is 516-333-8737 but they are open 10-5pm EDT.

I still have the PX2 so unfortunately I can't help you out here. I have to refrain from toy shopping until after my wedding.

I'd be advising the opposite for you: get all your toy shopping done now, because you won't be able to get them after the marriage!

j/k!

Thanks

Mike, thanks for the info. And I have to agree with Polaris. Get all you can, because after the wedding it's budget time and you have to save up. Took me a while to get my new toys.

Well, that's the thing. I did that already. I worked for a music retailer for a while and while I was looking to get out I took advantage of my discounts to get recording gear and such. I started this in 2000. I also ordered the DNA that year which arrived in late September of that year. the economy started to slip to and sales weren't what I was used to and therefore-neither were my paychecks. The car died that year and I had to get a new one. At that time, I was with a different girlfriend and no marriage plans. Nowadays-I am paying what I couldn't catch up with. I did splurge on the VSBL in June when it arrived with the support of my fiancee, though as a "last splash" before the buckle-down time. She's great like that and tht's why I'm marrying her. That's my story-the short version. Maybe someone getting out of college and starting out can learn from it.
