OD pedal suggestions

I'm looking for a smooth OD pedal with a decent amount of drive. So far, I'm thinking about going with a Boss BD-2 Blues Driver.

I'm up for suggestions if anyone has any. Please try to include clips if you can find any.

The BD-2 is a great pedal. I'm having mine modded now, when I get it back, I'll post a clip of it. Are you looking for something to drive you gain channel, or add distortion to you clean channel? I think the BD-2 better for using on the clean channel as an overdrive. It has plenty of gain, but not really 'metal' gain.

I've heard good things about the Keeley mods for the BD-2. What mod are you having done? I'm not using it as a boost, it'll be used on the clean channel.

I'm quite fond of my OD-3, check out the demos on the Boss site.

Re: OD pedal suggestions

I use an OD-3 as well. It's a great pedal, but not exactly the cheapest for a BOSS.

Re: OD pedal suggestions

Do the od-3's work well on clean and overdrive?

Like add a lil overdrive to the celan chanell and can colour/boost an overdriven channell??

my friends lookin for one to kinda do both, but i reckon the 0d-3's up for the job... or the os-2 overdrive distortion... Hmmm

The boost is huge, you get a really fat sound from it. :-)

Plus turn the tone knob up and you get such a good crunch. I sometimes use it cracked about 1/3 Drive and 3/4 Tone on my Marshall TSL's lead channel (set to about 8 for gain and 10 for treble). Awesome power lead sound I think.

I'll look into the OD-3. Has anyone tried the OS-2? It looks pretty interesting, but I no stores near me have one in stock.
