Odd 5150 Combo death.. please help!

Yo!

While playing through my friend's 5150 combo, it, well, died! I wasn't doing anything unusual. I had the amp maybe up to 3 or 4. The volume started to slowly fade out, then the lights on the amp dimmed out, too. After all of this, we turned the amp off, and then flipped the switches back on... And nothing happened. The lights didn't even turn back on! Nothing! Our initial thought was maybe a fuse had blown, so we ran to Radio Shack and got some replacement fuses... no change.
What could be going on here? The tubes in the amp are pretty old and probably need to be replaced, but surely old tubes wouldn't cause this kind of problem, would they? Does anyone have Peavey's phone # so i can call them and see whats going on? Thanks!

It's not a transformer. The amp has a bunch of fuses inside. Chances are a power tube shorted and blew a fuse. You could try changing the power tubes and look for a blown fuse. If you don't know what your doing inside an amp don't go in there. Take it to a tech. It's easy to get hurt.

Drag! Yeah, i figured that there was more to it than just that external fuse... I don't know of any authorized Peavey tech people around here. Does Peavey have any type of lifetime warranty? The amp is several years old.

No it's not lifetime. Even if it was the warranty doesn't cover tubes.
