Opinions needed on Line6 FlextoneII XL ???

Maybe able to get hold of one on lay-a-way for £250 ? Worth it or avoid ??? I have NO amp at all and this is the best i've come across so far.

Any opinions greatly taken

£250 is a pretty good price. I've never loved POD's, but the flextone series (I know they use the same basic software-must be the speakers and poweramp that makes the difference) makes very cool noises-good crunchy sounds, decent digital effects. The only thing I'm not enamoured with are the clean tones-they sound a little flat. What particular model Flextone were you thinking of getting?

Yeh £250 is a good price, mine cost me more than that and I think it was worth every penny. It has nice crunch sounds, awesome lead sounds, and really nice clear cleans, overall tis an awesome amp.

I've got a few links with Flextone II patches if you want them (do you have a way of hooking up the amp through MIDI to your computer to use the editing software?)

I've been using the 60-watt, 1x12 version of the Flextone II for years, and just picked up a Flextone II HD off **** for about $400 US (getting a Behringer 4x12 to go with it).
