Digitech
Whammy (got halfprice
) -
Morley
Bad horsie 2 - Guitar
is that the right order, or should i put chorus last, delay first

Re: order of pedals???
I would tend to go:
Guitar-->Compression-->Wah-->Distortion/Drive-->EQ-->Modulation(Chorus,Flanger all that good stuff)-->Pitch shift-->Delay/Reverb
That's a fairly standard way of doing it. Anything after and including Modulation can go in the effects loop, the others tend to stay in front of the amp for full effect. There's room for creative licence though, they're your ears after all.

Re: order of pedals???
I suppose moving the Whammy back next to the Wah will give it a more organic feel. I would keep compression in front of wah though, just my personal preference.

Re: order of pedals???
I'd recommend TC Electronics g-system; Digitech whammy and bad horsie.The gsystem is really doing all the work you'd get from single pedals.

Re: order of pedals???
If you've already got the pedals, I'd stick with them because dedicated single effects tend to be better/more versatile. Plus, if one ever breaks down on you, you're not replacing everything. If you don't have the pedals, are interested in lots of different sounds, and you have the cash, multi's aren't bad, though I'd stick to high end stuff. The Nova system has gotten good remarks.

Re: order of pedals???
I don't like the complexity of most of the multis as well, it's the g-system that has been acclaimed for it's user friendliness and high-end quiality at the same time, Steve Vai uses it what else should I say

Unless you've modded the Bad Horsie, its not true bypass. It does have a very good bypass though.
And whether a pedal is true bypass or not has no effect on where it should be on your pedalboard. Wah's almost always go straight after the guitar because they sound best there, but it is really personal preference.

Re: order of pedals???
Guitar-->Compression-->Wah-->Distortion/Drive-->EQ-->Modulation(Chorus,Flanger all that good stuff)-->Pitch shift-->Delay/Reverb
agreed.... thats the kind of formula I follow.
however, I tend to put pitch shift like POG or whammy before compression straight after the guitar.
alot of people prefere wah after distortion... it sounds wrong to me... but check it out as its a more aggressive wah sound that might suit your style.
delay
and reverb adn eq can go in the effects loop if you dont want them on the floor to save pedal board space for multiple gain/drive pedals either way chorus and delay should always come after any kind of drive so that you get chorus on all the lovely harmonics created by your drive pedals

Re: order of pedals???
yes and no...
all depends on your ears. I find it easier to solo with a good bit of compression because of the added bit of sustain and the bit of level boost I tend to dial in. However it does take away from the guitar-ness of the sound/feel by changing the natural attack and decay... so for somethings where touch and sensitivity is key I dont use it but for things where you have a screaming hot overdriven solo then I tend to adda bit of compression. I also use compression alot to get that funk clean sound, when playing any chilli peppers stuff, when playing anything chordy that needs to be evened out a bit.
The
MXR
dyna comps are cheap and alright, try starting there...
yup reverb goes at the end with delay... you want the reverb to be echoing the distorted / overdriven tones and not the input signal

Re: order of pedals???
You don't need compression, but it makes for a nicer more consistent tone with a bit more sustain. If you do 't want to sacrifice your attack, and are willing to save up a bit, get a barber electronics tone press. Great pedal.
