Anything Mr. Timmons uses is a-ok by me. If i had any other rig other than the one I have and currently LOVE, I'd have a bb preamp im my arsenal for sure.

I guess you could say that. I owned the Legacy for a few years while I was probably 16-19 and was gigging around the state at the time. It worked great and was awesome, but I was getting married and trying to make it on my own and didn’t even need the 4x12 in the first place so I sold it along with my pedal board. I was hardly playing anything but acoustic every once in a while. My JS's didn’t see daylight for a good year and a half. I finally found a church I liked again and joined the band. It was in a small building so an amp was almost too much and the easiest, cheapest, and quickest way to get back in the game was the XT Live. It does a great job but I miss the organic nature of tubes.

but to get back on subject. My wife wants me to wait until we own a house before I buy any more gear but I don’t know how long I can contain it. If I get some good overtime in at work this hitch a Legacy and BB might show up on my doorstep "unexpectedly".

My wife "wants" a lot of things. That doesn't mean she gets everything she wants. You gotta assert yourself every now and then. A JSX won't ruin the American dream, and now is a really bad time to buy a house anyway.

Not where I live. The housing market is at the bottom of a rather LARGE dip and the market is flooded with houses priced to sell. And with interest rates to be had sub 5% it actually seems like a great time to buy a house.

but back to the BB.

Actually is quite the reverse. Right now is a great time to buy property because you can haggle and get more for your money. Since we're in a recession, investing in real estate right now is good because in a couple of years, you'll make your money back and then some.

5.5% is already gone. 30 fixed is 6.25% or so today and it's been going up slowly for 2 weeks or so. The market would need to totally crash to see sub 5.

Anyway, if you think getting an amp will be easier for you (and the wife) after you pick up that 2 grand plus a month mortagage, I can tell you from experience it isn't If it's only one toy you need, get it first. If it's a bunch, then you need to reassess your needs down to one toy again.

Ahh, well last time I looked into it (a few weeks ago) with first time home buyers programs and what not it was looking real good. Kinda bumed to see its going back up.

Shogun, what do you use to push the BB? and are you running this into the clean channel?

That's what realtors tell you. In fact, it still has ways to go. I'd say the end of 2008 to mid 2009 will be a great time to buy.

Are you a realtor? Real estate will further drop by end of this year. Foreclosures are at record high right now, banks don't know what to do, lender/borrower bail-outs seem unlikely to affect the situation much because problems are so widespread. This is the good part (for me). The bad part is that the rest of the economy will also be f#$%ed.
