Painting amp's fabric front

I would like to paint some custom graphics on the front of my amp, like wes borland or tom morello..
How to do it? what kind of paint use to paint the front fabric grill?

Will this affect the sound?

Thanks again for your help!

Re: Painting amp's fabric front

Normal spray can paint should be fine, and it shouldn't really affect sound. My friend had a randall cab that was urban camo, but the fabric grill wasn't so me and him taped it off and painted it, looks pretty sweet now. Just find a design you like and get to work! This is one of those cool custom thing anyone should be able to do.

yeah you can paint the tolex, but it'll probably flake over time.

they sell cans of spray paint that is actually a dye for vinyl for use on the interiors of cars.
