Peavey Valveking 2x12 problem.

Hey, guys. I have a problem with my amp... it's prob nothing extremely wrong but I'm clueless with amps.. Especially tubed...

So, when I turn the amp on... everything comes on okay and after a few seconds of playing the amp will start making a lot of static sound. This doesn't happen till a couple of seconds after the amp warms up. I'm thinking it might be a bad tube but not sure. I can get sound out of it but sometimes the static can be louder than the guitar... Any ideas?

I'm leaning away from a tube and toward a sketchy solder joint. Is this with no cables plugged into it at all, and on both channels, and in any power outlet?

okay. I checked two different outlets and it's not that. tried different cords.. not that... If I unplug the cord from the amp it'll still make the sound. It'll show up on different channels. Ummmm.... anything else just let me know and I'll check for you.

How close are you standing to your amp when you play? And what direction are you facing in? Are you playing a single coil guitar?

Were the outlets in the same room? If they were, the troubleshoot was not completely accurate. I'd say go out and get a hum-x and try that.
