Peavey XXX problem!

Ok, maybe its not that serious, but since i've had it it does his thing where the gain control for the ultra channel will suddenly become disabled and the light will dim. When this happens the gain is being controlled by the crunch gain knob for both channels 2 and 3, but when its working, its independent like it should be. As of now its not working, and I don't use that channel barely ever but I'd just like to know what is wrong with it if anyone knows. Thanks

Have you tried contacting peavey? I hear their customer service/tech side is pretty quick and helpful.

I'm no expert, but it sounds like a bad power tube to me.

Re: Peavey XXX problem!

Yea I guess I will call peavey when I get home from work. The 2nd channel seems fine, its just the 3rd channel seems fine and cranks up when I crank the gain on the 2nd channel(!), which (not that I know much about tubes) makes me wonder if it is a bad tube or just a switch or something.
