peavy valveking 212 problems


i recently just aquired the peavy valvking for xmas...
its great only one problem...whenever i play an A note anywer on the neck
in any region and octave etc etc it makes this loud buzzing noise

its not the guitar
and its pretty annoying..any idea's?

That's why I didn't buy one...

Check the reverb plate in the back of the amp ...it's loose...most likely.

Though that may not be the problem...ultimately.

I would check the reverb tank as well. try everything you can, make sure it's tight and well secured. Try unplugging it all together to see if it makes a difference.

If not. Then take it to an amp tech or return the amp for another valveking or another model amplifier.

yea yea..without even looking at this thread..before hand i had noticed it was loose..so i tightened it well just there now.. ive tightened as many things as possible...

strange situations huh

ahh cool

i played through it as-well but i dont recall these problems..but tightening the reverb tank did a bit of difference..and i tightened it a lot earlier on today so ill get back

buzzing may be caused by a defective tubes.
many amps are sold with tubes in bad conditions
you should check preamp tubes (i beleive the first and second 12ax7) and the output tubes (a couple of 6l6s)

yep..3 x 12AX7's and 4 x 6l6GC..i hadda look...took them out and they seemed fine

manufactured by ruby those of whom seem of a reputal brand
