Pedal impedance question

Hi all, just been thinking about impedances on pedals and tone. Apparently, guitars work best with a 1Mega ohm impedance, which is the input impedance of boss pedals. However, the output impedance of Boss pedals are only around 10k ohms. If I'm daisy chaining pedals, won't the impedance difference between the lower output impedance of one pedal and the high input impedance of the next/my amp kill my tone? Vice versa for a low impedance send and high impedance return effects loop?
Regards
Jon

Re: Pedal impedance question

Nevermind, misunderstood impedance. I've decided I'm just gonna go true bypass everywhere after reading http://www.muzique.com/lab/truebypass.htm

Re: Pedal impedance question

It's still an interesting question I'd like to hear the answer for. I mean, true bypass only works if the pedal is not in use, or switched off. So I wonder how that would affect things when the pedal is on?
