Pedal power supply recommendations?

I've grown out of this Boss BCB-60 pedal board and will be selling it as soon as I find an alternative. Meanwhile, I have started shopping for power supplies and after reading up a bit on what's available, here are my choices:

Godlyke PA9 Power-All - £30
Visual Sound 1 SPOT - £30
Diago Powerstation - £55
Johnnyshredfreak 1500MA 9V Supply (same as Diago?) - £12 + cables

My requirements are not very complicated, I have all 9v pedals and one 18v pedal. I don't mind powering the CryBaby with dual 9V batteries but would prefer not to. My pedal setup will be:

Tuner » CryBaby » MXR dynacomp » Sansamp GT2 » Boss OD-20 » Satchurator (soon) » iSP Decimator » Boss Super Chorus » Digitech Delay.

All power supplies I've listed have automatic voltage regulation but none of them can power 18V pedals. Am I stuck with that or is there something I can do to these power supplies to enable them to power an 18V pedal in the same chain?

Alternatively, I'd have to spend the extra dough and get a Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2, or opt for a DC Brick but I haven't heard good things about the Brick.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Thanks!

As far as I know, the Voodoo Lab Pedal Power can power both 18v and 9v, if you are willing to sacrifice more money.

Other than that, I'm no expert on the other power supplies.

Re: Pedal power supply recommendations?

Not sure if this is ok as I am no expert but if not Im sure someone will correct me.

I have the Godlyke Power all and its not bad. It comes with adapters for many different applications, and I was thinking to power the wah you could use one of the adapters that hook straight onto a 9v battery clip, then use a battery on the other one or use two of the plugs on the godlyke and plug them into the batterys. Does that make sense? So you are using the battery clips instead of the DC jack to power it.

Just a thought, but it would probly be easier to buy one that could power it that just costs a bit more. It would make it neater at least.

I was afraid I'd get this reaction even though I did not want to spend more than £50 Anyway, I'm bidding on a Voodoo unit, comes with no cables so hoping to snag it for less.

Thanks for your responses!

I have a BRICK, which does 9V, 18V and I believe 12V or something. They are great little gadgets for guitarists that use alot of pedals.

I have two of the Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2 Plus boxes, and they're absolutely, positively the most versatile, high-quality pedal power supplies I've ever owned. I have a 1-spot as a backup, and it's pretty nice, too, and it's certainly cheaper, but the Voodoo Labs options are totally worth the money.

I've got the Dunlop power brick and I like it. It's got the brightest LED I've ever seen on a pedal, so it must be good right? It powers a bunch of 9V and two 18V pedals . . .

Alright, considering the Pedal Power 2 - how many pedals can this unit power? I will probably have no more than 10 pedals, that includes one 18v pedal.

I absolutly agree. I do the same thing with just one vodoo lab. They are great.

The PP 2 Plus comes with 6 standard 9v cables (and a few other odd ones). For your situation, you're going to need to purchase an 18v cable (I believe it takes two spots...I could be wrong), and some Y-cables (so you can power two standard 9v pedals off one output). That should easily cover your 10 pedals.

Re: Pedal power supply recommendations?

I just counted my brick's outputs and there are 7 9V and 3 18V outputs. Totalling 10.

Thanks man, that helps... Voodoo does have many additional cables on their site as well, so I should be good to go.

That's what I plan to do with my Dunlop Rack Wah when I get it. It uses a DC power supply so I can't put it in a UK Power Conditioner (which requires special male IEC connectors), and uses 24V. So I can use the Voodoo Lab PP2 plus.
