Has visual layouts of how many of the 'famous' players set up their effects chains.

Dan Echo is great! Very nice sounds.

When I got it, I was testing some BOSS digital delay ones. I thought Dan Echo had a more natural tone, so I bought it.

If it helps, here's my pedalboard:

Guitar --> Morley Volume --> Crybaby --> TS-9 --> Zoom 505II (POS) --> amp
FX send --> EQ-7 --> Dan Echo --> 2nd volume --> FX return

Re: pedals

Nice setup. I'm trying to put together something like that. (getting away from multi-effects) So far I have a Morely PWA II, Boss MT2, Ibanez stl Super Tube (awsome pedal), Danelectro chili dog octaver. Now I need a delay (prolly Dan echo) and some kind of either chorus or phazer or flanger. That should do it for me. Maybe I'll add an EQ and Volume at some point.

For chorus, try these (in my order of preference): BOSS DC-2, Ibanez CS-9, BOSS CE-2.

Some sound samples here.

Re: pedals

I kind of like the sound of the Ibanez. More natural sounding. Tough choice though. They all sound good.

Re: pedals

DC-2 and CE-2 are harder to find. CS-9 is way much easier to find used for a decent price.

Re: pedals

I like the Analog Man Clone Chorus myself, but I admit it's a bit pricey. Heard great things about the DLS Chorus, but again, that's a bit expensive.

I've got a shot of the current pedalboard on my webspace (click to enlarge)... follow the wires and you'll see how it's wired up. I actually have the wah going to the phaser, and then the phaser out to the 1st dirt pedal (Death Rattle), but I have the phaser in the 'modulation' section of the pedalboard so it's easier on my brain.

Re: pedals

You've got some very nice pedals there. I can't really splurge for boutique stuff right now. I'm just looking for good usuable, quality stuff on the cheap. I would kill for your pedal board though We should have a "post a photo of your pedal board" thread. If it hasn't already been done.

guitar >boss volume>morley classic wah> ds-1>ts7>zoom 503

fx loop send = dd3 x > EQ > return (not pictured here)

Thanks- it took a while to find the right pedals to match the sounds in my head. After you try one 'boutique', it's like an addiction. And the boutique pedals are a little fussier and more 'specific sound' I think than the more generic (yet still fine!) pedals. But once you hit that pedal that nails the sound you're going for, you just HAVE to own it .

A post your pedalboard thread sounds good- start one and I'll be there!

Re: pedals

I'm going to start with the basics then maybe replace each peice with a killer "boutique" pedal one at a time. K I'm going to start the "Post your pedal board" thread.
