Phantom powering DMC Ground Control

Just wondering,

If I want to use my Triaxis to phantom power my DMC Ground Control, do BOTH ends of the MIDI cable have to be 7-pin, or just one?

Thanks
Abe

Both ends need to be 7-pin, and you need to plug the AC adapter that came with the Ground Control into the back of the Triaxis (there's a small jack for it near the MIDI jacks).

No problemo... I was out of town for a few days and am just getting caught up on all my messages now.

Little known fact... Rocktron makes a 5-7 pin MIDI cable (http://www.rocktron.com/store/) that allows you to power a phantom-powered foot controller off of a standard MIDI device. It's not a big deal for you now, since you've got a Triaxis, but if you ever sold the Triaxis and picked up a preamp that didn't send phantom power, you can get the Rocktron cable. I used it to power my Ground Control from my G-Major when I didn't have the Triaxis.
