Pickup Cover Colors (DIMARZIO)

Does Dimarzio still make pickups in THIS color:

Thats the pickup from one of those old purple PGM100's. Its got an orangey-pink look to it. I REALLY want some for my next project. Thanks!

Looks like faded pink pickups. What most people don't want... Even I got some, even though they are not that faded. Some correct lighting would probably fade them to perfection.

Re: Pickup Cover Colors (DIMARZIO)

I LOVE that color. Im just weird I guess.

Would there be any deleterious effects if I were to leave my pickups in the sun for a while? -OR- how about a Halogen lamp? I got one of those, with a halogen bulb. I could take the glass off, expose it to some UV rays

Thanks for the help.

I once saw a red RG (bright neonish red) that was exposed to heat alone, that one faded to orange - also got a melted pickguard. So I'm not really sure if light without heat would do the trick. Worth a go if you really want it.

Those definitely are faded pink. I remember that color from Kevan's FP.

Re: Pickup Cover Colors (DIMARZIO)

Ok cool.

Anybody have any good ideas on how to artificially "age" them?

Re: Pickup Cover Colors (DIMARZIO)

Leave them out if the sun for the summer. Sort of a natural artificial again process.
