FWIW.....

I had a POD 2.0 that I played for quite a while that I had to replace.


I ordered the XT shortly after they came out from musicians freind.....it had a software glich at the time that Line 6 and MF were aware of and offered to replace it or refund me the money. I took the money and bought a used POD 2.0 off the Harmony Central clasifieds for a 3rd of the cost of the xt.

My opininon of the XT is that it had better efx, but I didn't like the amp models nearly aswell. Especially the recto patch. Better efx wasn't much of a plus to me because generally you don't record with efx you add them to the mix. so I actually like the 2.0 better.

The general rule agreed by a lot of people on the Line 6 forum (well, last time I checked, I've not been for a while) is that the XT has better cleans and FX but the POD 2.x has better high gains (gotta love that rectoverb model!)
