POD and Peavey Bandit 112 - Is this normal?

Hey there!

I have a question: Does anyone have a Peavey Bandit 112 and a POD? Because that's what I have and I wanted to know whether it is normal that when you plug the pod in to the return jack of the peavey it sounds a lot better when A.I.R. is turned on then when it's switched to amp. Anyone else experienced this with some other amp? Just curious... I wanna know what would be the most authentic sound...

If you're plugging into a return jack the AIR should be turned on.

If you're plugging into the input of the amp the AIR should be off.

Thanks for your input guys! I was just confused, cause the Pilot's Handbook says that if you plug the POD in the Return channel you should switch it to Amp. But I'll stick to the AIR! Sounds sooo much better. I played around last night, and I think I found a cool tone setting for me . This thing is simply great!! I love it. Now I just need that floor board!

Leave AIR on if you want cabinet and mic placement simulation...leave it off if you want to hear it straight through your own cabinet without any other cabinet modeling going on.
