POD XTlive pedal question

Hello guys,

after reading many good reviews, I finally bought a pod xtlive, and it just arrived today. It's brand new but as started reaing the user's manual I came across this section

2.10
Onboard Pedal
...When operating the Wah, you can press hard with your toe at the top of the pedal, and the wah-as well as the wah light to the left of the pedal-will turn on and off....

Well it doesn't seem to happen for me. Does the thing have to be in a specific mode or something? Any help from xtlive user's would be greatly appreciated...

Okan, is it on carpet.. If so you really have to push hard.. But it does work..
