podxt or podxt live

I want to get a podxt but im not sure if i should get just the xt or the xtpro. is there that much of a difference? Also would the xt be able to replace my current preamp, like the xtpro could?

Re: podxt or podxt live

lol why make a thread about the xt live if you REALLY mean the xt pro?

if you're talking about the LIVE setup it's just a Pod XT stuffed onto a floor board (great idea btw) and the pro version is just insane for recording. XLR and 1/4" outputs (http://www.line6.com/podxtpro/ins_outs.html)

I would get a used ADA-MP1 and a cheap power amp, you'll like it more.

Re: podxt or podxt live

As far as i am aware, the only advantage you get with the xt pro, is that you can rackmount it, and there are a few extra input/output options, the basic sound processing is the same.
The xt live, is just the same thing built into a floorboard.

If you want one, you just got to determine what you need it for...if you want to rack it get the xt pro. If you just want to practice and record, get the desktop. If you want it for live use....e.t.c

rackmount would be nice 400 bucks for extra in's and outs and rackmount form isnt worth it. i also have a question, you think that the podxt could replace my old rack because it is my dad's rack gear and he wants it back lol
