power fading when effects loop engaged...Please help!

Ok, on my mp-2 anytime the effects loop is turned on the power will randomly fade out and sometimes not come back..AND, when I adjust the presence on the power amp I get static and then the power fades out again..most of the time it comes back. I turned off the effects loop and everything's gravy, even when I adjust the presence on the power amp. Does anyone have a clue what this could be? My Rivera TBR-1SL also started to do this...

I dont need anything in the loop for now so it's not a problem now..but I'd like to throw a g-major in there eventually. Any clue anyone? Anyone ever experienced anything like this? I hope it's just a preamp tube thing, or possibly a 12ax7 in the power amp acting up.

It could just be a tube. It wouldn't surprise me if that's all that it is.

Hopefully it's not a bad IC or transistor. - Wait-I know nothing about innards! -LOL! I'm going by things I've heard before.

Are you sure it's not one of the devices that you are using in the loop that's the problem?
