Poweramp to POD Pro - Mesa 20/20 or some other

I´m looking to buy a new poweramp to my pod pro.
As it´s now i´m using a Mesa 295 but that thing is to heavy to take to small gigs so i´m looking for a small and not so heavy poweramp. Well i´m thinking of purchasing the mesa 20/20 but i have found a pretty cheap marshall el84 20/20...well what do u guys recomend...is there some other poweramp that sounds good and is small that u could recomend instead...well thanx in advance

I used a Mesa 20/20 with a Pod Pro for a while. It sounded pretty good. It is light and sounds warm. I haven't tried the Marshall so I can comment on it.

Remember, technically you don't really need to use a guitar power amp. You can just use a solid state studio or PA power amp as well since the Pod is modeling the output power amp. You may be able to get an even lighter and cheaper amp this way.

I use a Carvin HT150 Power Amp with my POD Pro... It's not packed with features but it does its job and it's very reasonably priced... and it's about 10lbs!

Well i think i´ll buy the mesa 20/20...but can someone tell me what´s the difference between el84 (as i think it use) and 6L6 (as in my 295)...yeah and how loud is the 20/20 cos if it´s quieter then a marshall valvestate then i think i might have to consider the 50/50.
