Powered Pedals = Noise?

Is this always the case? I'll be honest, I've never tried any of the Furmans or VooDoo labs. Last time I powered all my pedals was with a daisy chain coming out of my TU-2 (powered by a BOSS Power Supply). At first, I thought it might have been the electrical line at our practice spot, but apparently, it's the same everywhere.

I'm tired of dealing with batteries. Help, anyone?

Can't be true I purposely bought a tu2 to power 4 of my other pedals, and they don't make a noise at all... hmmm.... Funny

Get the Voodoo labs Pedal Power and kiss the noise issue goodbye.

you need something that is regulated - I just bought a variable voltage REGULATED power supply from the bay and its fine.

A guy I know has a daisy chain that feeds his pedals power through the battery connectors.

Re: Powered Pedals = Noise?

Update: It was my POS wah pedal that was causing all of the noise! I pulled the wah and everything seems much quieter now!

Re: Powered Pedals = Noise?

By powering anything, youre connecting it to the cities ground grid which can be very dirty depending on the size and density of the power users in the city (I think, I dont remember much from physics lol), but your amp will still have the exact same problem whether you power your pedals or not.
