powerful amp vs kickass headphones?

might be a stupid question, but i play it at home so i use headphones most of the time...
with a fx processor... like... what major diff would it make?

What major difference would what make? Using an amp instead of the processor and heaphones, using the processor with an amp instead of headphones? If you just play at home what would you need a powerful amp for?

you want to be very careful using headphones i did this for years listening to rock rock music blasting with headphones and using headphones though my effects i ended up having a brain hemorage caused by this be careful keep it down to a sensible level
