Question

powering multiple pedals with a daisy chain

please help guys,
i bought a daisy chain adapter off the Bay and it needs a seprate power adapter, i have one lying around but i'm not shure if it would work.
on the label of the adapter it says:
ac/ac adapter,
input: 240VAC 50Hz 60mA
output: 9VAC 600mA 5.4VA
the adapter will be used to power a boss ch-1 a boss ds-1 and dunlop crybaby.

Re: powering multiple pedals with a daisy chain

No. You need 9V DC not 9V AC.

Re: powering multiple pedals with a daisy chain

Plus it realy does have to be made for guitar pedals. Most of the "all purpose" power supplies will add a lot of noise to your sound.

Re: powering multiple pedals with a daisy chain

DONT PLUG IT INTO YOUR PEDALS !!!!!!!!!

when you say power adaptor, do you mean power supply ?

you need a good regulated 9v 300mA+ PSU to power your pedals - count on 100mA per pedal and select your supply on that basis...

post a pic of what you a re talking about !

Re: powering multiple pedals with a daisy chain

theres different types of daisy chains, theres the ones with the 1 female and 5 male chain i one so u can plug an adapter into the female input and pwoer 5 other pedals with the male connections...

and theres a 7 way male chain

well theres the ones i seen anyways...

So,

what u need is a boss PSA or PSU DC adapter which has a 1000mA output and a one of those 5 way daisy chains which has 1 female jack

What i used to do was Boss PSA adapter > 5 way dasiy chain, and have one jack gfoing into my tu tuner, THEN a 7 way daisy chain coming out of the tu tuner

the tu tuner has a 9v output as we know so i could power lots of pedals off the one 9v adapter

average pedal is 30mA or so... but there all diff
