Preamp into SS combo amp???

Hey guys!
I'm about to purchase a used Rocktron Chameleon preamp. I don't have a poweramp/cab yet, but i still want to be able to try the Rocktron out. I currently have a solid state Line 6 AX212 combo amp. It has one main input, and another 'aux' input. The aux input is just a clean channel with 3-band eq and reverb. Would it be okay to run the Chameleon into this input? Would it sound like ass?

Use the FX loop return. If it doesn´t have one, use the main imput and
leave all the knobs (including the volume if possible) at 50% (halfway).
