rack cases

I´m looking for one, and the bottom unit (power-amp) can´t "float" inside it (suspended by the screws); it must "sit" inside the case.

Any suggestions ? Maybe those Mesa shockmount ?

Thanks !

Mesa all the way. I've had 3 different ones, and they've all been incredible.

The 1st unit really "sits" over those springs ?

Hehe, what do you have there ? A 2:90, VHT, some other unit ?

Here's my rack: http://members.aol.com/vaijem777/rack.jpg

With the Mesa rack, there are "bumpers" on the top, bottom & sides of the gear. They're basically shock absorbers. Construction is top-notch- nothing is "sitting" on springs, like with the SKB cases. The units are mounted very securely on rails, then the bumpers simply absorb any shock

Nice rack, congratulations !

Could you, if possible, take 1 pic of the back, exactly the place
between the Rivera and the bottom ? I´d be extremely grateful !

And the rails, if possible ?

I really can´t see 40 lb. units "flying", suspended by only 4 screws.

This is the only picture I have of the back at the moment (sorry...it's a little messy):

The Rivera alone weighs in at just under 80 pounds. The suspension system is really unbeatable-plus is allows plenty of airflow thoughout the rack. It may not look like much, but the Mesa racks are certainly roadworthy, to say the least.

Tour Supply used to sell Anvil cases at cost... I think they still do. Ebay is seriously a good place to buy racks.

The rails are what the equipment actually mounts to via the rack screws.
The rails then rest on the shock absorbers or "bumpers".
