Rack experts out there, need suggestions

I have a SansAmp PSA-1 preamp in a rack with a BBE Sonic Maximizer and Power Conditioner and a BOSS GT-6 effects processor. I will soon have a Behringer 400W cab. I plan on using the Sansamp as my primary distortion unit and Boss as an effects unit.

I still need to buy a power amp. Can you suggest any good power amp that would maximize the volume of my Cab and still have good tone?

What do you think about my planned set-up? Any flaws?

You want to go tube or solid state?

You cannot turn off the power amp sim in the PSA-1 so it works really well with a solid state PA power amp, or a very transparent tube power amp (think VHT 2150 or something in that price range).

I'm using the Behringer cab too (best cab on the market HANDS DOWN!). My Rocktron Velocity 300 poweramp seems to do the trick quite nicely.

You mean their guitar cab? No offense but you cannot have tried a lot of cabs of you think that's the best. It may be alright for the price but I can guarantee that Bogner, Soldano, Rivera, VHT, Engl, Diezel, Mesaboogie as well as quite a few others have cabs that blow the Behringer away in both sound and build quality.

I would look at either the Mesa Boogie 20/20 or 50/50. You can get them used for $400 or so.

I was thinking of a solid state power amp since it was the suggestion of TECH 21 and some of the people at harmony-central. They also said Mesa power amps were good with it.
Mesas' are quite pricey though so I don't know if you know of power amps that are cheaper but powerful enough to crank the 400 watts of my cab and reliable and won't mess up the sound of my setup. Thanks.
