Rack Tube Power Amp - Single Channel

Hey guys,

Does anyone make a single channel tube power amp? I'm trying to make my mark IV rig a stereo rig using the Satellite out on the Mark IV. I know you can bridge the Carvin TS100, but that makes the power rating 100W where I run the Mark at 30W. Are there any other options other than the TS100 for a single channel? OR If you get a stereo Power amp and only use one channel, does that leave the other channels output transformer to burn up since there is no load. I'm not too too familiar with the workings of a 2 channel power amp, but i do know most only have one on/off and one standby switch.

Thanks

Mesa/Boogie's manuals say you can use one side of the amp without hurting it. On the unused side, turn the volume to zero, and the presence to 10. I use both my 50/50 and 20/20 in that way. I have had issues with the 50/50, but it's pretty old, and I don't attribute it to using the amp that way.

or you can find a mesa simul satellite that was made for this purpose. they made them as 1x12 combos, but you can also rackmount it like any short head/combo. there were 2 models, one with the graphic eq and simul class option. and one with out the eq or simulclass. great poweramp, though heavey as a mark 4. it's actually the same power section.
here it is in the top of the picture.

Randall RT250 - can be run as a 50/50 stereo power amp or a a switchable mono 50W amp. You get 2 power amp channels to switch between - you can have different valves in each so you get more tone choices. Great power amp but 'king heavy.
