I would get a GT-8 over a GT-10. I did a bake-off between the two and the tone in the GT-8 was better overall, matching settings exactly between the two, and running into the same amp with the same tubes, settings, etc. Plus, you can get an excellent-condition GT-8 for way less than you can get a GT-10.

ah ive had a gt6 but was very complicated,although ive no doubt the gt8 gt10 are great units they will be even more complicated that the gt6 lol.ive bought a boss me50 £120 pick it up this sunday,theres way better i know but it sounds like a decent unit and easy to use.

Korg AX3000G is right in your price range, it's quite an old unit now but it still sounds great. Easy to use too. Other than that I reckon it's got to be one of the Digitech RP range. I've seen the RP500's go for £90 on E*** UK, most go for around £150 which is only £30 more than your budget.
