I have a AKG WMS 400 series that is really pretty ncie.. right around 400 bucks for a true diversity, frequency agile UHF system. Now it does affect your tone some. It adds some slight compression to the high end. However, it's not terribly noticeable for live use, unless you are playing very crystal clear jazz, in which case i would doubt you'd be looking for a wireless anyway. Decent unit though.
