Replacement Pickups for Universe

I posted this question on the Jem/UV message board, but got no response...perhaps better luck here.

I want to replace my new UV's middle pickup with a hotter, more punchy pickup - think the sound of a hot strat pickup.

Can anyone give me the names of a few on the market, if not their experiences with them?

Finding single coils for 7-string axes is a rare occasion. But Seymour Duncan could build one of their std. 6 string models of your choice in the custom shop. Check the user group at http://www.seymourduncan.com/main.html if you ask about a particular model, they'll tell about how much it would cost.

If you could find a stacked 7-string humbucker that is a 4-conductor pickup, then you could wire single coil. *I don't know if these exist, but might add to your options.
