Road King II Dual Rectifier combo Mesa Boogie

Yes !

It seems I find my Holy Grail apm and tone .
Last weekend ,I brought back to the store Mesa Express ,and bought this Dual Rectifier ,the newest animal from Mesa .
Didn't spend too much time so far playing it ,but what I manage very easy is to have Fender,Marshall ,Vox ,Orange and of course Mesa tone ,in one amp ,with very simply manipulations. It works well on room volume ,in middle gain it works amazingly clean, with smooth power full distorsion , but on loud ( 2:00 was highest pot position ,all most blew up windows to the garden ,so the middle posiion is about 10:00 ) , it is animal (but still human ) ! What could be on really max volume ,will see these days .

I thought it is not possible ,but there it is the amp which can make me smile .

Incredible !

If you have some cash ,go for it .
Plus ,7 vwh simply sings all toghether with "small " Boogie .(50,80 and 120 W of pure power)
All of that without any pedal (except Cry Baby ) .

With simply Boss DS -1 and C2 Compressor Sustainer ,it becomes a really danger weapon .
I can imagine what sound will looks like with some more decent pedals ....

Thanks for your time,I thought might be helpful to share my experience with you .

Cheers,
BH

Re: Road King II Rectifier combo Mesa Boogie

Ok, I just replied to your Express tone basically tellling you to go this way, and get a more "modern" Mesa and then use that to get more "classic" tones instead of relying on a more "classic" voiced Mesa and then wondering what you can do to it to sound "modern."

The Rectifiers are pretty awesome amps on their own - the Road Kings and Roadsters are downright scary.
