Rocktron, Boss, or Vox?
Hey everyone, I'm looking for a good quality sounding reverb and delay pedal. I gave thought to the
Boss
Space Echo at first, but then after seeing what price they go for, I figured it would be more practical to get a multi effects floor pedal instead.
I've been in a continuous struggle, however, trying to decide which of these three to purchase:
Rocktron
G-100, Boss ME-70, and Vox Tonelab LE.
I'd like to know which of them has the best sounding delays and reverbs, and of course which one is better overall. Seeing as they're closely priced, I don't mind paying a little more for one or the other. I'm open to any and all suggestions.
Thanks in advance,
Donovan

I love BOSS's delays and reverbs.
I had a DD-3 and it was great, and have a GT-10, and use the delays and reverbs together alllll the time.

Don't forget to check out Zooms G series stuff, specifically the G7 and G9. They have some great effects and amp sims.
If you just want to utilise the effects get the G9 so you can run it through your loop, but keep your amps preamp tone. G7 can't do this and that's why I sold mine when I got my new amp.

I haven't looked into Zoom much, but I'll check those out.

I really do like the BOSS delays and reverbs from what I've heard off their website. I haven't had the chance to try anything in person yet at my local guitar center, though I'm planning to make a trip soon.

I'm not really looking for the amp sims per se, but I am really focused on the quality of the effects. I'll be running the effects unit through my Peavey 6505+. Would it sound better in front of the amp, like a regular stompbox, or should I hook it up to the effects loop?
Thanks again!

Well check out the Zoom G9.2tt then as it can run in the effects loop. I'ev heard people using this as their effects with a nice tube amp, and being really happy with it.
I found the effects to be really nice on the Zoom G7.1ut, it's just a pity that it cannot work in the effects loop solely as an effects processor.

Re: Rocktron, Boss, or Vox?
Thanks for all the suggestions everyone. I guess I just have to go to Guitar Center and test them all of for myself.
If there are any more suggestions, I'm open to hearing them.

Good luck getting a look at the Zoom's in GC, I don't think they even carry them. Same with the Rocktron, I know they sell those but I've never seen one on the floor of any GC I've been in. The Pod, Boss and Digitech should be available to test out though.

Re: Rocktron, Boss, or Vox?
Yeah, I haven't seen any Rocktron or Zoom gear there besides some in the used gear case. Often times they have nothing of either. I'm most likely going to end up somewhere along the lines of BOSS.

Re: Rocktron, Boss, or Vox?
The ME-70 is just a good basic meat and potatoes unit.
