Roland Fantom-X keyboard/sampler/workstations

Does anyone have experience (good or bad) with the new Roland Fantom-X series of workstation? I've been looking around for a powerful but easy to use keyboard, more interested in sampling than in actual synthesis, and the X6/X7/X8 models have impressed me at my local music store. I like the expandability and connectivity that it offers, the color screen is way easy on the eyes, and from the little I've been able to play around with them, they have a decent sound.

I'm mainly concerned about ease of use, since I'm a guitar guy and not a keyboard guy, and whether the X-series can really handle sequencing and recording entire songs, like its product demos suggest that it can do. I'm kind of wary of it trying to do too many things at once, jack of all trades, master of none type of thing, but I've been impressed so far, and the price I can get it for here in town is unbeatable.

Just wondering if anyone has really put one of these thru its paces yet, and if it comes recommended for someone who is just getting into the keyboard and sequencing side of music. Thanks to all!
