RotoVibe
Who has one and what can you tell me about it?
I want one, but my most gear knowledgeable friend says they will kill your tone and continued to say many other bad things about them. I cant really try one and asmuch as I'd like to buy the Fulltone equivelant, Im not too into spending $300 on a pedal.

Re: RotoVibe
It's been my experience that they sound better on Strats than LP's. They give this "thickening" effect which can make them a little muddy on humbuckers.
If you don't want to spend too much Digitech has a multi pedal that looks a bit like a wah wah. It's got Rotovibe, whammy and all sorts on it.
Horses for courses though I'd say.

Re: RotoVibe
I need to do more research the Univibe might be what I want.
I want the Robin Trower one. Now I need to learn the difference.
Thanks for the advice Eggy, Digitech's stuff never really gelled with me, but I might have to check that out.

Re: RotoVibe
That's right
The expression pedal makes it "spin" faster, right?

Re: RotoVibe
So some people are saying they aren't all they are cracked up to be?
That sucks. I've been admiring them in the catalogs for a while.

Re: RotoVibe
They're cool. But I only use mine on a low setting to just colour the sound rather than saturate it. You've gotta take some peoples advice with a pinch of salt cos there's a lot of people out there who turn everything up to eleven and complain that it sounds like crap.

Re: RotoVibe
If you want cool swirly effects a-la Robin Trower and
Jimi Hendrix
's use of Univibe, then I highly recommend the
Voodoo Lab
Microvibe. You can usually get one for a good price used in auction land.
