Notice Peavey have taken down any reference to Satch being in Chickenfoot?

I am sure Satch would sound great whatever gear he's using. Everything else sounds like business talk to me...

That's so funny! It's like they're kids or something... But I guess peavey are pretty pissed if he just moved to marshall and didn't say anything first

Impressive. They still had him up there yestarday afternoon when I found out about this story. Sucks to be them and get so completely blind-sided.

Makes me wonder if the Marshall thing is specific to Chickenfoot, and he'll go back to Peavey for his solo stuff. Who knows? Well, Joe I guess!

Re: Satch goes back to Marshall amps

i cant imagine that joe would get endorsed by peavey, make signature amps especially to how he likes them, then go over to marshall. i agree with petie, he probably is just looking for a different tone for Chickenfoot?

Re: Satch goes back to Marshall amps

Peavey is almost like the girl who keeps getting dumped saying "why does this keep happening to me?" and then moves on to the next guy and the same thing happens again.
Actually, it's not just Peavey, but nearly every company these days with modern endorsement deals. Not like the old days when endorsements would seem to last forever.

Re: Satch goes back to Marshall amps

I'd rather be top dog status with peavey
Than Also ran status at marshall.

If someone gave me enough money and my name on something I suppose i'd play a pignose or a line6 on stage.

still, the thread for "Satch leaves Ibanez for Gibson" will be... scary. / axecess of course.

Re: Satch goes back to Marshall amps

I gotta say I'm a bit disapointed with Satch though. Now, I could be wrong because none of us know the details, but when you sign something and when you say your with something I think you should honor that comitment. It's the same with athletes these days, up and down, this team and that team.

if it pans out that way, yes. But I still see the full chickenfoot (inc Satch) endorsement on the peavey site...

not really, athletes GET traded. Because there is no loyalty from team to player, why should the players have any towards the teams?

Look at the NBA, where sometimes journalists know before the player concerned that there is going to be a trade, or where entire teams get lifted from one city to the next.

But a contract is a contract...why get into business with someone who's proven himself to be untrustworthy?

As for the "it sucks to be peavey sentiment", they themsleves have poached artists away from other companies before.

I would also guess that a US company -which has been in similar situation before- would have ironclad contracts with their endorsees. In the end they may even come out stronger
if and when the JSX continues to be available as a regular model, without the direct Satch link.

Re: Satch goes back to Marshall amps

Maybe I should have kept my JVM410 longer to cash in on the Satch fan buying them .

It's a great amp to be fair, I can see why Satch likes it!
