I'm not familiar with Sensaphonics' products, but another company to look at is Etymotic Research. Etymotic makes hearing aids as well, so they know their stuff when it comes to hearing.
I've got a pair of Etymotic's ER-20 musicians' earplugs, and they're awesome if you're on a budget and playing relatively small venues.
