Seymour Duncan Pups - Benedetto vs. Jazz (SH 2)

I was about to purchace a Seymour Duncan SH 2 jazz pickup, and i looked on the SD website and found that they were offerring Benedetto pickups. Has anyone out there had any experience with Benedetto pickups? I'm going to put the new pickup in my Dean EVO 7 string, which has a mahogany/maple body. I'm looking for a good jazz sound.
Thanks for your help.

Most of the Benedetto's are primarily designed for arch-top hollow-bodied jazz boxes. They're basically for a more traditional jazz guitar. They do have a couple of standard-mount models that would fit in a standard solid-body guitar-they're basically a PAF-type pickup and should work fine. I haven't played that model of Benedetto though, so I'm really not sure how it would stack up to the Jazz model.

Call or E-mail Seymour Duncan and simply ask them. If you explain what you are trying to accomplish, they can give you a good comparison and recommend the right pickup for your set up and tone goals. They're quite responsive.
