That's a sexy Caparison. They're the only axes that can pull off gold hardware in my opinion. Nice rig!

Yeah. I think you saw it over on the Caparison forum already. They're nice guitars.

Yep. Simple and sounds great. Can't recommend it highly enough actually, especially at the prices they tend to go for over there in the US.

They are sweet. The store I teach out of has a NOS F-50 combo that I would love to own but considering there is a new Express 5:50 combo next to it for only $100 more - I'll grab the Express at some point this year. I'll just need to decide whether to get the combo or he4ad first as I want them both. Most likely I will end up going with the combo first

Yeah, the express series looks nice, I like the option of the 5 watt mode, and the extra voicing switches. (Though i've never missed having no extra voicings on the F50) If the 5:50 sounds as good as the F-50, I might swap it for one in a couple of years.

The 5:25 looks like a really cool 'compact but fully featured' combo. If it's small enough to ship over here from the US i'll be thinking of getting one of those when they start turning up on eb*y..

the 5:50 sounds everybit as good with all the extra features. The 5:25 is using EL34 tubes so it is more like an Ampeg in tone which is not a bad thing but I have an Ampeg. I like the 6l6's in the F50 and 5:50.

I much preferred the 6L6 F-50 to the El84 F-30, so i think i'd feel the same way about the express series.

But there is something really cool about a fully featured 2-channel 10" combo. It's so small and portable and still has features that plenty of bigger amps don't.

My current rig is pretty simple.

RGA121 -> Dunlop Crybaby -> 5150 w/2x12 Celestion Vintage30. Occasionally, I would have a BOSS delay and a BOSS chorus in the loop. But, most of the time, I play it dry.

Believe it or not, this 550 is by far the BEST playing guitar I've ever owned.
Go figure. It never goes out of tune, never breaks a string, sounds great and it blows away $2000. guitars I buy on a regular basis.

It's my #1 baby.

That's an original isn't it Jem? I think I remember seeing pics of her long before the 20ths came out.

Yup. I think 1991 was the only year with matching headstocks? Could be wrong....
