So...Guitarology ?

Check this thing out:





It was INSIDE the center spring of the RGArt1 I just bought. Stamped on one side is "guitarology" and the other side is "Australia" .

There's a "nub" on the claw end that prevents the bar from being pulled up. It's adjustable by turning either side against the threaded insert. I've never heard of such a thing.

It appears to work, however, if you don't know it there you could pull up on the bar a little rough and simple move the claw around on it's screws...

Was this a "thing" I missed out on?

It's a Tremolo stabilizer. Floyd Upgrades are selling something similar.
