You're going to order it without trying it out first? How can you just blindly spend hundreds of dollars on something you've never heard in person? Not trying to antagonize you, but let's be realistic here...You're not going to find your sound and the awesome tone you are after by simply reading some reviews...The only way to know if an amp will work for you is to test it out for yourself...

Yeah but where can you play a Carvin other than like where they are built? Plus if he buys new they have that policy where you get it for like half a month and can return it if you want since Carvin doesn't have anywhere for you to play them

Well hopefully they pay for the return shipping costs, which I'm sure ain't cheap...IMHO, if you can't try it out, it doesn't make sense to buy something that may not agree with you...

Re: so..im going with the v3

Carvin does not pay for the return shipping. It's a calculated risk. You have 10 days to try it out. If you don't like it you send it back for the shipping price. If you buy an amp at a local store and then don't like it 10 days later, you usually have to face recouping your cost on the used market. Return shipping doesn't look so bad at that point does it?

Re: so..im going with the v3

Carvin usually debuts big items at winter NAMM, but they are often not commercially ready for sale for several months. There have been exceptions to that rule however. Right now, my best guess is that it will debut this winter and be shipping in the spring. However, by all accounts, Steve has been busy with other things lately.

Put Jensen Neodyns in your cab. They beat any V30s in a good 2x12 or 4x12. I went that way with my V3 and never looked back.

Re: so..im going with the v3

Late to the thread, but are you getting the half stack or the 2x12 combo?
