speaker recommendation

Okay guys, I have a classic 30 amp and actually, I don't mind the stock Blue Marvel speaker. I think the amps sounds great. I'm going to add an extension speaker cab and I'm wondering if it would be good to go with another blue marvel speaker, or whether it might be a good idea to blend another speaker in the mix.

Opinions? Experience with this amp perhaps?

Peavey Classic 30? Pretty cool amps. Personally, I REALLY like my Carvin Legacy 2x12 with v/30's cab.

I think I may have misunderstood you at first. I guess you're saying you like the celestion vintage 30s in that cab. That's pretty much the speaker I've been looking at.

One day, I'd like to have a nice Carvin Legacy. The Peavey Classic 30 is only my second amp, ..and my first tube amp. It blew away my Line 6 flextone III so at the moment I'm overly joyed by my new-found tubular tone!

Re: speaker recommendation

I had a legacy head years ago. didn't do it for me.

one you go tubes, theres now going back. you get more tone, color and life with less gain.
