Spilled water on my 4x12. Is it ok?

I got a Marshall 4x12 a few years back and am really proud of it, it's a 1960A cab. I keep a bench besides me with various tools, a tuner, etc. I set my water on it and just about 30 minutes ago I reached for it and ended up giving it a light smack. Bam, water on my beloved Marshall. The bottom right speaker got most of the water, and I peered in with a flashlight and noticed some droplets on the cone and bottom part of the speaker.

I moved it over to the heater now to let it dry. Will it be good? Should I open it, remove the speakers and wipe them down?

Let it dry out thoroughly and it will be fine if it is just a few droplets.

It was a light shower, but I think the speaker grille absorbed about half of that, so I hope they do just have some droplets only on them. I'm glad it wasn't soda, milk or orange juice.

I would just let them dry for a day or two, maybe even put a dehumidifier by your cab to get all moisture out of the speaker if you have one. Sounds like a minor mishap though, your cab should be fine.

yeah, just let it dry out thoroughly. i've had cabs get rained on and play just fine after drying. not a recommended practice, but it'll be fine.

It should be fine. Worse things have happened to cabs in the history of some of the most famous bands **cough**van halen**cough**
