Stage monitor vs guitar amp for live shows

Anyone here use a monitor instead of a guitar amp for live gigs?
Im using a Digitech RP1000 and a JBL floor monitor for my guitar and vocals.

I actually don't care for monitors. I've grown accustomed to hearing my guitar to guide my vocals, and as long as I hear the drums, which is a given in any situation, I'm good!
I always gig with a Marshall 4X10 and set it up right behind me, so I can control what I hear.

Monitors only screw me up!!

I know what you're saying but I love having an amp setup...

I've never owned an amp

Axe-fx direct to pa, using house monitors. works well. sounds good. consistent. easy.

i bring a bag full of cables strings tools etc
a guitar in a case
a small rack with my axe-fx

thats all I need and i can carry it all at once.

I prefer a nice tube amp miced and ran into the monitors and mains (if needed, usually not needed).

Here's my stage rig (on the left of the drums). We play out with 4 QSC powered monitors along the front of the stage and 4 clamshell monitors (2 for drums and 2 for keyboards). We currently use the 5' QSC fronts with 2-15",1-12" and a horn on each side with 15" powered subwoffers under each. If at all possible - always try to keep your stage volume down and mic your rig through the PA as the more control the soundman has the better your overall sound will be.

I run my Axe FX FOH with one output. The other output goes to my 2 Bogner Cubes. Best of both worlds.
