Stereo setup question

Hey all, quick question:

I have a Mesa Studio .22+ and two pedals: Boss DD-20 gigadelay and Boss Digital Chorus. Both of these units are stereo but I am using them in mono through the effects loop. I tried sending the 'B' channel output to my solid state Roland Keyboard Cube 60 and it was very harsh sounding without the poweramp. (Reminded me of Yngwie's bridge pickup sound).

Would putting a tube preamp for a mic in between the 'B' channel output of the pedals and the Roland Cube soften up the sound enough for it to be useable?

Re: Stereo setup question

Well I just went ahead and bought a tube preamp for a mic and I'll see how it goes, as I need one anyway for recording.
