Stereo + Y cable?

I am thinking about taking 2 heads and plugging them into a stereo cab.. this part will work, however I am wondering about getting my signal to the heads from my guitar... will a Y cable going to each head do the trick? or do I need to mod a guitar to have 2 jacks or get a special device?

i just did that way ,to get what i heard in my headphones,just my opinion though..
