Re: still can't choose amp....

Id vote for the laney, out of those choices.

But personally, a Laney GH100L is what I would get.

I have an 80s Laney AOR Pro Tube Lead 100, and it SMOKES ALL those amps you've listed. and alot cheaper, only about $300 off the ****.

Well, I'd rather be patient and get what I REALLY wanted, instead of settling for something else I can have right now.

Up to you, man.

Re: still can't choose amp....

roland jc120, throw a good distortion in front (the amp's worse than poor!). the roland is incredibly clean and thats the starting point for getting some great tones out of your pedal(s).

Re: still can't choose amp....

i realised that a tube amp will be a big leap (i only have had 2 practice amps in my life!) and i think ill go slow, first a nice solid state amp and later on (when i have a job!) buy a nice tube amp, sorry if posting another thread will be a disturbance...

Re: still can't choose amp....

I dont wanna pressure you, but whats wrong with big steps?

If you get a GH100. . .thats IT. Its not like your gonna have to or want to upgrade anytime soon.

You'll be good to go, as far as gigging, practice, EVERYTHING for a LONG time.

If you plan to become a serious player, then you will eventually need something with great tone and alot of power. Getting it now will be the cheaper option, because it will save you more money in the long run, since you dont have to keep upgrading.

Just save yer pennies and dont be too impatient and I think you'll be MUCH MUCH happier with your purchase.

Good luck Carlos.
