Strings for "Funky" Hands!!!!

Hey I have what other guitarist call "Funky" hands (sweaty) and my strings go bad FAST! I whip them down with a rag after I play and they still go bad. Anyone have this problem ad if so what can I do to make the life of my strings last and what kind of strings can help prevent this. Also my G string NEVER stays in tune for more than a minute and after a while I will tune it and it pop when turning the tuning peg.....(by the way when i say pop i dont mean that it breaks it makes a snaping noise or something like it and it BUGS THE **** OUT OF ME !). PLEASE HELP ME!

Solutions to problem 1:

Wash your hands before playing. Try using a string lubricant like Fast Fret. Give Elixir strings a try.

Solutions to problem 2:

Make sure your strings are wound neatly around the tuning pegs. Wrap once above the hole and then 3 or 4 wraps below the hole, going down down the post towards the headstock face. Don't overlap your wraps. Only use as much string as you need.

Does your guitar have a trem or a fixed bridge? Locking or non-locking trem?

what kind of guitar are you using? depending on where it falls in the quality spectrum. the tuning heads might not be the greatest (or at least, it sounds like there could be some slippage with your g tuner...) or there could be problems with the nut or bridge, any of which could cause the tuning problems you're having...

Being a low-end RG, i wouldn't be surprised if your guitar has a slipping tuner. The singer in my band has an Epiphone SG that sounds amazing, but it's got crappy-ass tuners that just do not stay in tune very well, and the G string is particularly bad.
