Stupid Ohm/impedance question regarding setting up my half stack

I fell stupid for asking this, but I've recently been confused. Here are two pictures. What do I plug into what. Running one Marshall JVM210H head and one Marshall 1960a cab.

Thank you!

Do you want to run it mono or stereo? Mono is matching the 16 ohms with speaker cable. Stereo is plugging speaker cables in to each point with the switch to stereo.

Mono. So wait, on the head plugging it into the "2x16" or "1x16"?
then on the cab the 16 ohm input?

Re: Stupid Ohm/impedance question regarding setting up my half stack

Im not a professional at this or anything but from what I understand and use with my amps(I would like to think im right)
If your using one input, switch your cab to mono and plug your Wire into the 16ohm input on your AMP and connect it to the 16ohm input on your CAB
If you want to run it parallel using two wires, Switch your CAB to "stereo" and plug your wires into where it says 1x8-2x16ohm input on your AMP and connect them to your CAB
Make sense? I hope I do

Thumbs up

Re: Stupid Ohm/impedance question regarding setting up my half stack

1) Switch the cab to mono (you don't have a stereo amp)
2) connect EITHER
a) 1 x 4 ohm output to 4 ohm input
OR
b) 1 x 16 ohm output to 16 ohm input.

Jim

(didn't mean to add the thumbs up thingy!)
