Sustainer devices...

People! What is this sustainer device everyone's talking about? Is this a regular pickup? I would like to get some comments and some info on it, but don't know where...

One Google search later:

http://www.fernandesguitars.com/sustainer/sushow.html

I am not aware of pricing and availability of these.
I know some folks on the forum have purchased these. Hopefully they can provide more help.

Also look at http://www.sustainiac.com, the folks who originally developed the on-board magnetic sustainer, and http://www.ebow.com for the origins of the magnetic sustain concept.
